Jiří Černický

(*1966)

Je jedním z nejosobitějších výtvarníků ve své generaci, mimo jiné nositel Sorosovy ceny a Ceny Jindřicha Chalupeckého. Vystudoval VŠUP a Akademii výtvarných umění v Praze. Jeho dílo je zastoupeno v mnoha světových galeriích, vystavuje převážně v zahraničí. Je členem skupiny Finský barok, jeho výstavy a happeningy bývají vždy událostí. Nakladatelství Meander vydalo dvě jeho autorské knihy: O Sasance a Gagarinova věc.

He is one of the most distinctive artists in his generation (including the winner of the Soros Prize and the Jindřich Chalupecký Prize). He graduated from the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design and the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague. His work is represented in many world galleries, he exhibits mainly abroad. He is a member of the Finnish Baroque group, his exhibitions and happenings are always events. Meander Publishing House has published two of his books: O Sasance and Gagarinova věc.
