Pavla Hájková studied at the Faculty of Journalism of the Charles University in Prague, specialized in broadcasting. Twelve years worked as an editor of programmes for children and teenagers in the radio station Český rozhlas 2 Praha, where she was one of the authors of many programmes. Between 2003 and 2004 she was an editor in the print department of the Nova TV. In 2004 she spent three months traveling together with journalist Jaromír Štětina all over the Czech Republic and collecting stories about devils. Later a TV series was made, based on their collection, and in 2006 they both published a book named A Journey to the Czech Devils. Since 2004 she is the assistant and spokeswoman of the senator Jaromír Štětina.
